Rejected Play

I've had a problem lately with having my play "kicked out" by the
computer system. I've been playing 100-line nickels on a multi-donom
machine. Apparently, the computer considers the machine to be a penny
machine and "kicks out" the play because something like $30,000 coin-
in within a four hour period on a penny machine raises a red flag.

The end result is that no play shows up on my card, I then have to go
through a thousand miles of red tape to get credit for the play. The
process usually involves a multiple week, multiple request ordeal
before the play is credited. And even at that point I don't think it
really is added as "play". I think I'm only getting points added.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

which casino are we talking about ?

It's a bug with both SDS and CDS tracking systems-and I have heard
from knowledgable people that it's not the error log (which is where
the play can be found when the machine thinks the coin in does not
match the denom played).

Try playing less lines. I believe the problem is in using the "max
bet" button, but can't confirm for sure.

I've been there/done that, so you have my sympathies. Try putting in
$200K coin on a quarter 100-play, and not only not getting any points
(which was about $1K cb) but the staff refused to look into the
machine's accounting as well. I've had issues at other casinos. Acres
tracking systems seem to be immune from this disorder.

Interesting report. Months ago, I believe misscraps reported this
problem at Harrah's LV. The impression left at that time was that it
was Harrah's themselves who had "filtered" the play out. When it was
reported that the casino involved in this more recent incident is a
non-LV Harrah's property, I assumed the circumstances were as
previously described.

Your credibility, paladin, leaves no doubt concerning the accuracy of
your report. It was far more comforting, however, when it was chalked
up to another one of Harrah's shannanigans.

I have heard that this is a problem on the Palms 100-play and was advised to pull and reinsert my slot card every 10-15,000 points.

I'm glad someone brought up this subject. Good warning. I will watch out for this on multi-line machines in the future.
