Reel Rewards Flamingo???

We will be in Vegas in October and just got an offer from the Flamingo for $850
in Reel Rewards play. Does anyone know if this is good for use on VP. I have
called the casino twice but am not confident that the people I talked to were
sure of the answer. They both told me it was good on VP. The offer states table
games and slots. I am not sure that includes VP. The people I talked to said VP
is a slot game and is included in the promotion. Anyone here know for sure.
Thanks,
Sharon

Sharon, I have had similar offers from Caesar's and used them quite a few times. I never had an issue using the RR on VP; in fact it was the only game I used them on. Hope that helps.

Most Caesars' properties in Vegas, Flamingo included, only allow use of reel rewards on select video poker games. Most video poker machines have a sticker above the TITO clearly stating that reel rewards are not accepted by that specific machine. I've found that some of the carnival video poker games such as Ultimate X will accept them as will most video poker machines in the high limit areas. You will find it difficult to get a straight answer over the phone from someone about this, as I've had slot personal confused by which machines accept reel rewards and which don't. So be careful with your expectations on this.

"Reel Rewards" = free slot play, right? I know that Harrah's (Caesars) copyrighted the term "free slot play" years ago. I wonder why they now use "Reel Rewards."

No, this is not true! Reel Rewards must be played through a machine once before cashing out. If you insert a $100 reel reward ticket into a $1 single line video poker machine you must play 20 hands at max play(5 coins) before you can cash out the full amount.

It seems to be a more common practice in Harrah's/Caesars casinos to preclude some of the strong vp machines from accepting Reel Rewards coupons. It appears that this is in reaction to some players who regularly seek out these machines to play through coupons once and run with the money.

If it should be necessary to play an inferior vp game in order to convert the coupons to playable credits (or simply cash out), bear in mind that even in taking a 1% paytable cut to do so on a $1000 offer it only costs you about $10 in EV when played through once. It's not the worst sacrifice.

That said, in a recent trip to Tahoe where I desired to redeem a coupon on a machine in the HL area which was labeled with such an exclusion, they were willing to accommodate with conversion to a standard machine ticket. (Wouldn't advise such a request if your intent is to play through once and run.)

Yea, doesn't bother me at all to go to a 99% machine when they send me $850
