Reduced Rental Cars-DOLLAR

I am fairly recent to vpFREE and may have missed this discussion in the past,
but here goes.
I get to Vegas about 5 times annually and always rent a car. I have found
that by going to Orbitz.com and doing a car rental search with no special
discounts gets you a chart of about 7 car rental companies comparing prices and
sizes. I have never found any coupon or deal cheaper than these rates, and I do
belong to several discount services. For example, I, too, am going to Vegas
in May and ran a search on Orbitz two weeks ago and got the $14/day Dollar
rate then.
Just a suggestion.....

I do the exact opposite. I use Travelocity and Orbitz to get the
general pricing, then go directly to the company with the cheapest
price.

I then enter any discount and/or coupon code I have. In 4+ years of
doing this, I've found this method to give me the cheapest price
every time.

I usually follow your pattern, but I first went to the Hertz website for
a Chicago rental. I used every discount coupon and code designed by man
and my best deal was an outrageously high $190 - with 150 free miles a
day. Travelocity was able to get the same car I wanted ( taurus ) at
$129 with unlimited miles. Go figure ??? So I went with Travelocity.
