You may have been refused a line pass for the Wynn
buffet if you were there anytime near a holiday. They
usually don't issue them a few days before and after
holidays especially weekends.
Looking forward to your trip report.
This was definitely a YMMV situation. We came down from CP on Jan 1
for dinner, the last night that Bev's niece and husband were with us.
We had newly rated Bev at Wynn with a little play earlier in the day.
We found on arrival that while promo buffets for new players could be
earned, they couldn't be redeemed until Sunday. We played a little
past the 1 buffet earn point and went to claim it. I asked if the
desk rep could manage a line pass and she looked around a little
obliquely saying, "well, let's see what I can manage ... they've been
trying to take these away from us all day long!"
No doubt in my mind that if you happened to tap a rep who wasn't
feeling more than a little generous that a line pass wouldn't be
forthcoming. The thing was worth it's weight in gold Thursday.
btw, promo buffets awarded to new players (500 pts = 4) weren't
redeemable until Sunday. No word on now long they would stay in Bev's
account. However, the two we left on tap in my account back in April
are still available as of today ("available", but use is still on hold
until tomorrow).
