Red Rock speeds up some

For me, that would take a psychic machine. Most hands are easy, and I know
the correct hold instantaneously. Some are harder, and take a second to figure
out. Especially when playing a penalty card rich game like DB. So deal me
those easy hands really fast, and the harder ones a bit slower!

Realistically, the faster the machine, the better I like it. I can easily
slow myself down if necessary, but I cannot speed the machine up, unless the
casino cooperates. With a machine set to top speed, I can maintain at least
1000 hands per hour for many hours. There are many faster players, I know a few
who can exceed 1300 hph on a fast machine.

I agree with an earlier post--asking for a machine to be slowed when you
know the casino will not usually speed it back up is a bit selfish. Not a big
deal, but still selfish. Obviously, the best solution is for the casino to
activate the player speed control, with the top speed set to whatever they
desire, hopefully at least medium-fast.

I've played at RR five or six times. Twice my machine had an active speed
control. Every time I played, speed was set to fast or very fast. I have no
complaints. And I like the fact that there are lots of ticket cashing machines
all over the place!

Myself, I like the speed to be such that when the fifth card is

Scanning a hand is a bit like reading Latin ... it's not until the
last card (word) has played out that you can begin to make sense of
some deals. (In Latin, that's particularly true of a sentence where
the writer elects to place the verb last

A game like All American has a nuance all its own ... when the first
four cards contain a pair, 2 cards to a SF, and 3 cards to a S, it's
like reading a mystery novel.
