Today's mail held a very classy-looking "VIP Invite" to the grand opening of Red Rock. Not
too VIP, of course, just several hours before it opens to the public. I really have no idea
why I received this, so I wonder if anyone else did, too?
I don't put on more than a couple hundred points per month on my Stations card, and
that's just to keep the mailers coming. I also do not live anywhere near Red Rock's
location, so my best guess is that I got this because I play a lot at Fiesta (Henderson),
though I have really slacked off since renewing my El Presidente card in January (less than
a couple thousand points each for Feb and March).
The invite is very cool (if you like minimalism), is good for me and a guest, and includes a
type of parking pass. It also states that attire is "dress to impress cocktail wear," and
includes maps of the grounds as well as the casino itself.
Because of it's location across town from me, I'd probably normally skip the grand opening
and go another time (even though I go to most casino openings here - as part of the
"public," of course), but I think I'll have to grit my teeth through traffic and head over
there. To be honest, I am almost never in that part of town, so I may as well go as part of
a larger event like this. Besides, who can resist being called a VIP? 
I know there have to be people on the boards who play the Stations more than I do, or
maybe even less, who also got an invite. What does it appear the "qualifications" are?
