I just had a really lucky day - 3 royals on the same machine in 1 day! (at
Palms 10/7 DB). Just wondered if anyone could beat that?

Three in one calender day and five in 24 hours is mine. It all comes
out in the wash though. I went from May 4th to Sept 18th without a
Royal and I play almost everyday! It's been a bloody year!

My wife had 3 RFs in the same day several years ago. All on different
machines holding AKQ of different suits. Currently she hasn't had a
RF since 7/1. My longest dry spell was 5.5 months (200K hands) after
having 2 in one day. I've been lucky lately with 5 since 10/7.

Heartiest congratulations !!! You are the lucky (oops...on wonderful
side of randomness) champ of the day, if not the week, the year or
forever! PLEASE, give us some more details for our reading
enjoyment.
I'm Thrilled if I score 3 royals over a 4-5 day visit. I've never
even had 2 in the same day, over 20+ years of vp action.
May you score 3 tommorow as well!
Babe
Playing a 100 line machine for pennies, my wife and I hit 13 Royals in one
day (Bonus Poker).

I don't want to hear anymore of that born
loser nonsense from you. I told you many posts ago that you were a
BORN WINNER!
13 Royals, indeed!!
Please go back and get ir right next time.....on a quarter machine!
Congratulations, Babe
The best I have done was three royals in three
different stores on my 13 day July trip. I played some
8 or 10 hours a day, so may have gone through around
two "cycles" I am going on a 19 day trip 11/18, solo,
but do not intend to put in quite so many hours. I
will be posting an open invitation to vpFREE members
and LVA members for two or three dinners at the
Outback Steak house in the Casino Royale this weekend.
The first $200 each evening will be on me!!

Thanks, Babe! I always try to look on the positive side of things but with
minimum expectations. <smile>
I am in Austria right now. But, there is not a casino in sight, at least here in
Graz. There were signs poiinting to a casino in the Frankfurt am Main
(Germany) airport. But, alas, I was not able to check it out.
I am getting back to the US on Sunday and then off for 5 nights in LV the
following week. YAY!

Hi BORN WINNER,
I've never found a European casino that had any vp worth playing.
I've visited lots of them, but passed up the vp for BJ.
The BJ is kind of interesting in that, if the table is crowded, yiu
can play (bet) on a seated player's hand. By standing behind the
player, and putting your chip next to his. It is forbidden to tell
or suggest to the player, on whose hand you've bet, how the hand
should be played. Most of the locals play so poorly, they'd be
better off mailing their money in directly, w/o playing. It's a
stitch to watch (if you can stand the smoke) as the people who are
betting, but not playing, have apoplexy at the strategy that the
player is employing.
I got to actually play once, Using the correct basic strategy,
while doubling, I was subjected to smirks, unsolicted advice, and
actual insults. That was enough for me. I leave the European
casinos to the Europeans.
Happy traveling, and many royals in LV!
Babe
P.S. I sent you a private email.
What are you doing in Graz? Beautiful city...and truly amazing at
Christmastime. My company is based there, so I have had occasion to
spend some time working there...and I look forward to going back
again!
There is a casino in Graz...right off the Hauptplatz. If you are
looking at the Rathaus, it is to the right. The casino is nice --
one side has table games and is coat/tie for me; the other side has
slots/VP, but the pay tables were truly horrid as I recall.
IMO, you are better off enjoying the sights and food. I'm not all
that big on Styrian fare, but the Italian restaurants were
excellent...the schnitzels are great... Take one or more of the
tours offered through the tourism office. Go to the top of the
Schlossberg. Visit Scholl Eggenberg (it was closed for the winter
when I was there, but I hear it is amazing).
Man you have me wanting to go back right away!

I am still in Graz; I leave on Sunday morning. There is a half a day's meeting
tomorrow (Friday) and I get to play tourist Friday afternoon and Saturday,
Coincidence or not, G. Kirschner is the organizer of this Workshop that I am
attending here in Graz. I have known him for more than 30 years.

Yes, I saw it tonight. I was with a rather large group and had no chance to
investigate further.
Go to the top of the Schlossberg.
We had dinner tonight at one of the restaurants at the top. I would have liked
to have taken the steps, but we took the lift (both up and down). The view
tonight was marvelous.
Man you have me wanting to go back right away!
Yes! It is a beautiful place. My first time here.
