Woke up at 3:30 in the morning, and left my house at 10 to 4. No
traffic on interstates 57 or 80, so it took me only 45 minutes to make
the trip[ from Kankakee...

I just joined this group since I heard it was the most active for the
regionals.

I left Illini Country in 1983 and have not been back since. I hang out in
Laughlin when I can from Northern AZ. I find it facinating that you can gamble
in the midwest.

I used to do Amtrak/Burlington to Champaign-Urbana from Downers Grove. I
also used to pick up a six pack (Stroh's) on the way to C-U stopping in Kankakee,
the good old days, when driving in the 1970's.

Anyway I bet some of you play the Harrah's junket game to Laughlin. Please
check-in at the vpFREE Laughlin group if you fly out to Bullhead City. I don't
know about Joliet, but Harrahs-L has playable VP, unlike Vegas.

BS

P.S. Let's see...Union Station, Homewood-Flosmore, Bourbanias, Kankakee,
Rantoul and C-U.

Didn't you hear the warm greeting from the all star kazoo band and 21 tommy
gun salute? The Chicago area doesn't compare with the Nevada markets of
Reno, Laughlin and Vegas. We're happy when we see JB and ecstatic when we
see NSUD and super aces. On the positive side I stand far less chance of a
cavity search while making the trek to NW Indiana.

I know there are one or two who have taken advantage of junkets here. I've
never gotten an invite and was shut out the one time I inquired --This in
spite of some decent play when Harveys had $FPDW. I flew into Vegas on my
last Laughlin trip.

So which is worse, hot as hell or cold as hell?
