<<<I need an OEJ strategy for the 99.98 game (900/400). I found a $5
machine somewhere with excellent club bennies. Don't worry about where
it is, you won't find it. My own computer guys can't do the game for
some reason, and it would take me about 2 days to make one myself,
using Winpoker and VPSM and doing a lot of interpolating. (Zamzow
wouldn't do a patch, nor tell me how to write the code-I think to do
it would take less than an hour for him-just make Jokers out of the
OEJs and stick in a DJW platform; is Paymar still alive?).

In exchange, I'd give you a play from my own Private Stock. I have a
particular $1 FPDW game in mind, with good slot club benefits, which
is located in Clark County (nope, not at Caesars or Bellagio, sorry!).
If you prefer $1 FPJW with good cash back, I can arrange that as well,
but the machine is an antique. Or, if you want the 2% quarter MS play,
that's cool too, but that one is probably too difficult and too windy
for most. Or, if you live in Reno/Tahoe, I have something special for
you there as well.

To make sure the strategy is accurate, I will be testing you (I've
already worked out some of it). >>>

This is the type of post that cools the sharing nature of this forum. It
might be an indication of how many others also harvest info & market it.

I'd like to think that the tenor was unintended as this poster had already
contributed some recent posts which offered some good comments.

Which brings to mind a story that I was told by a high-rolling pro about a
fellow that was on the pro fringe. We'll call him Tee. Tee always had a good,
positive play & he always made money off these plays even though he never
played them. He'd sell them. If you hit the progressive, he'd demand his cut.
The rest of the time Tee would spend badgering people to give up a good play &
they'd give it up just to make him go away. Funny thing though Tee never
seemed to have any money or anything decent to wear.

Maybe it's just a story but if you ever bust out, robbing ideas is better
than robbing banks to build up another bankroll.

Of course, no malice was meant, but the criticism chafes.

Here is the problem I face. Most members here, at least the ones who
participate in the discussions, rarely venture over the $1 denom. I am
talking about a $5 single line play. I have intentionally obscured
some facts about the play so the pros who lurk here will not be able
to find it. This play is worth over $200 an hour, and as discussed
here, a very difficult $200/hr. Who among the regulars here us really
going to play it? I mean, was anyone racing to give up the bartop play
in Wendover last year? That was a quarter play, you know  .

It continually amazes me how many of you have no sense of the reality
that a casino is in business to take your money and not the other way
around. When a casino discovers a mistake, they will rectify it. If
they don't like their results against you, sooner or later they will
stop dealing to you. It's just good business and the reality of how
business really work. I can think of at least 40 players who have been
backed off the mail in the last year at one casino megacorporation.
And the mail from this particular chain is actually pretty good at times.

Putting this sort of play out on a public board reduces my equity in
that play for three reasons: one, it's highly unlikely someone is
going to give me something equitable in return; two, the casino where
this game is at may monitor VPFree (it happens), and three, the pro
lurkers who do nothing except lurk for free info will hop on it in a
flash. I try to contribute in ways which will benefit most of the
smaller denom players and casual players, giving up this play achieves
neither of those goals.

If you don't believe me, would you like to hear the stories from the
Harvey's $2 FPDW adventure? I didn't know about the game until late,
but I understand this play was originally posted on VPFree. Harrah's
pulled the game, correctly, because they were tired of backing off
team players from Vegas who were pounding the game 24/7. Whoever put
this original post really does not understand how society really
works. I'm not that angry about it, because those types of plays draw
a lot of heat, and sometimes it's better not to play the best game in
the house (actually, more often than you think) if you're playing $5
denom and up.

As a professional player, I have to constantly make decisions which
affect my bottom line. Posting here is one of them. So, I would ask
you to respect the decisions I make in exchange for trying to better
this community and many of you as players. As for the people who
criticize, well was it like they were really going to play this?

My two cents' worth:
Perhaps if the original post had simply asked for help with
finding a strategy for the game, there wouldn't have been the semi-
irate responses. Adding in the info that there is a great $5 game
but there wasn't going to be any further info was bound to cause
others to respond as they did.
I can see why the "pros" wouldn't want to have great plays
revealed on a public forum such as vpFree. But - and this is just my
opinion - it was a little mean-spirited to ask for a favor while
simultaneously announcing that the corresponding opportunity was
going to be kept a secret. The barrage of responses was no surprise.

My personal take on this is.
As long as you are a contributing member you should feel free to ask for what you need.
I believe other members would try to help. I don't believe offering a bribe is needed.
If everyone here just contributes a little, this group will do very well. I don't think that anybody
should be forced or coerced into spilling all the beans , just contribute what you think is reasonable.
Dangling monster plays that you will not divulge does not accomplish anything worthwhile.
