Really short trip report

Sat. night at MGM. This is 2 weeks in a row it was so crowded there
were no machines in VP room open at 10:30. It was also unbarably
hot. Went downstairs and played some $.50 pick-em and caught a S.F.
for $600. That was the highlight of the night. I hit 5 quads playing
DB but no big ones. My wife couldn't do anything and she usually
carries me. After some 3 card poker and some slots we left at 1:30
and the place was still packed. All told we were up a couple hundred
at the end of the night. I may go on a Sat. morning but I'll never
go on Sat. night again. Ohio Bino

   Bino,

You were really lucky to catch that straight flush at that Pick'Em
game
before you lost a lot of money. Remember, all the quarter, fifty-
cent, and some of the dollar Pick'Em machines at the bar, are all
the "Rip-Off Pick'Em kind.
They stiff you five credits on the straight and three-of-a-kind
turning a 99.95% game into an unbeatable 96.68% one. The 10,000
credits for a royal is rather meaningless when you consider that they
only occur about once in every 350,000 hands.
The only games I'll play there are full-pay dollar Pick'Em at the
bar and the always volatile 9/7/5 Double Bonus (99.1%) at the
progressive bank of machines downstairs.
