After that it is 750 pts for each additional buffet I think.

But no one is reminding us the $$$ to one point ratio. Is it the same for VP
as the slots? Isn't this how we should be listing these kind of deals?

"Points" are arbitrary...coin-in is "King".

So playing VP in the Wynn, you get 250 points, what coin-in is that? Is that
across the VP horizon, or are there different rates based upon denomination
or machine?

The database is accurate, I think. $9 coin in gets you a point. I
don't think the denomination you're playing matters. It does matter if
you're playing slots vs. VP, but I forget the ratio.

I'm not so sure about the 750 points for an additional buffet. Last
time we were there I went to the booth to try to get a comped buffet
after accumulating about 4,000 points for the trip. The boothling
said, "sorry, you don't have enough points for comps yet." When I said
"hunhh??" she said something to indicate that points towards comps
aren't the same as points on your players club card. Which, as a lot
of people have suggested, probably means that spending all of your
time on those full pay machines is not the best way to earn valuable
freebies at Wynn.

I'm pretty sure the 750 points is accurate based on my conversations
with the boothlings. There might be a difference just for those 4
machines, but otherwise the 750 is correct.

However, if you accept an offer to stay for free or reduced rate, you
have to play enough to cover that offer before you can start getting
other goodies again.

Also, it is $3/point for slots.

I'm really tired of Wynn's sleazy and deceptive practices. (OK, I'll stop sugar-coating and tell you how I really feel...and why I feel that way)

I've never stayed there, and I've never been able to play "enough" for the boothlings to give me a buffet comp (despite doing at least $10k/900+ points in play each day I've played there). On a few occasions, I was able to talk a host into giving me the comp that I gad EARNED, but the last time I was there, I was unable to prevail.

I think that their slot club policies are EXTREMELY sleazy -- if you earned a comp, you deserve to get it - nothing more, nothing less.

To me, Wynn is much, much worse than the "don't ask won't tell" places because the don't honor their published policies.

The way Wynn runs its slot club tells me that they engage in deceptive business practices. Because of this, I can't trust that they haven't tampered with the machines or done other sleazy/unethical/illegal(?) things.

The bottom line is I've given up playing there.

$420,000 Mortgage for $1,399/month - Think You Pay Too Much For Your Mortgage? Find Out!

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Wow. All those points and not a booth comp seems amazing. But I
think we covered this before. If not, my experience was similar,
until I made a boothling look like an idiot by reciting exactly what
he had said two weeks earlier about how many more points I needed to
get one buffet.

So the idiot gives me a card for a host (Jessica) in the high limit
area (even though I am a mere 25c VP player) and she looked at my
account and offered two buffets within about 30 seconds. So maybe
you just got a bad host.

Now I am no Wynn worshipper, but so far, the four great machines
survive. For Wynn to offer me anything else is just icing on the
cake. Or in this case, those great lamb chops at the dinner buffet.

I'm really tired of Wynn's sleazy and deceptive practices. (OK,

Charles - I agree that the lamb chops are amazing, but chew on this -- a lot of my play was NOT on the four machines (it was on the dollar 9/6 Jacks). Also, when I had been able to get the comps, it was from a host, but at some point, groveling for something that you've EARNED is just too tiresome.

   Mortgage rates as low as 4.625% - $150,000 loan for $579 a month. Intro-*Terms

We've stayed there multiple times, never on an offer. Actually, if
Wynn ever made a room offer that I found tempting I'd know I'm
gambling too much.

I wasn't really complaining about the comps. There's a certain lack of
transparency in the way their players club works, and it seems strange
that it's absolutely mandatory to talk to a host to get any kind of
discretionary comps. But we do always get some $$ knocked off our
hotel bill when we check out, at amounts competitive with other high
end strip properties we've stayed at. My action doesn't really warrant
more than a small rebate, so I'm happy enough.
