When I was at the LV Hilton today I picked up some info on upcoming
promoitonal events. It looked to me like it is the same number as usual, so I'm not
sure why some people are reporting receiving fewer offers.
I did note that though I was told I was C2 when I booked my room for this
trip, it was only C3 when I checked in. Also I was given a larger than normal
room, but not the 1 bedroom suite I'd had on previous 2 trips as C2 and C3.
$30 = 1 point for VP at LV Hilton, $15 for reel slots. 100 points = $10.
New French restaurant is now open, but you cannot eat there as a comp on C2
or C3. Instead you have to use your comp account dollars. Restaurant is by
chef Andre, same chef who runs Andres and the Palm's Alize, and menu looked
similar caliber to Alize, and similar priceness. Figure about $80-100 per
person including appetizers and desserts, more if you order a bottle of wine.
I asked when David Brenner would be coming, but was told that he is not
coming to Hilton. This is strange since I'm sure I'd read he was moving over
there from Westin Casurina.

Presumably letters with invites for some of these will be going out shortly
(the letter I saw hasn't been mailed yet - just being stuffed into
envelopes).
Presumably if you play at LV Hilton you should be able to book some of
these. If you don't get an invitation and you do play, you may be able to pay for
some with comp dollars or ask a host if you can come.
Try host Gloria Dennison or host Jim Bobbera (1-800-777-1100) or your own
host. (I'd wait a week or two to see if you get the letter before trying to
book for that Oktoberfest Slot Tourney with tix for Earth Wind and Fire since
invites are not yet in the mail)........
