Re quarterly spa offers in AC

I have now learned apparently only some 7* get this benefit. Apparently it depends on your previous play in AC, and other criteria. Most people have have AC as their primary property, but not all 7* who have AC as the primary property get this. Also some people who are 7* get free golf, but this also varies, some may get it once a month some twice a month, some never.

Apparently if u are entitled to the benefit u must contact your host, and it doesn't show up as a mailed offer, so the best thing to do if going to AC, and probably any property, is to ask your host what special benefits u are entitled to. Can u get free golf, spa, etc? There are some benefits that all 7* get which vary from property to property, like the Tahoe Star yacht in Tahoe, but other benefits that are for only certain 7* and maybe Diamonds too if their play is high enough, all very confusing. And the only way to know about them is to call a host.

By the way, Bob, my behavior had absolutely nothing to do with the confusion over the spa benefits. I learned about the quarterly benefit by talking to other 7* members, and confusion ensued because some people got it and some didn't and it was thought to be a 7* benefit for all. Part of confusion is that AC hosts and personnel themselves referred to it as a "7 star quarterly spa benefit"., when actually it should have been called a quarterly spa benefit for certain 7* members who met certain criteria.....

I believe you.

Still, I believe you clearly dropped the ball. Had this
happened to me, I would have contacted the host and tried to start the
conversation with empathy --- something like, "I understand there are 2,000
Seven Stars players here this weekend. You hosts must be slammed. It must be close to
impossible to keep everything straight." After we talk a bit about how
tough their job is, then I say, "Is there a spa benefit I'm eligible for?
I heard through the grapevine that there might be. My qualifications are
xxxxxxx."

At this point, probably one of three things would
happen. The host would explain to me why I wasn't eligible. Or they would
reverse the charges on the service I paid for. Or they would tell me that they
could not do that but they could comp a meal at Nero's for Shirley and me off
the books. Since I was understanding of their problems and speaking calmly,
they would likely have given me something. There's no guarantee. This is not a
"secret trick" that always works. But it works enough of the time
that it makes a real difference in the bottom line.

I definitely would NOT go posting on the Internet that
"Bad hosts in AC do it again…" Harrah's people were trying very hard
to throw a really nice party. Yes some things went awry. They always do. Every time. In every organization. But a
lot of good people were trying their best to make it work. You know from
personal experience, Misscraps, that Harrah's executives know your Internet pseudonym
and have warned you before about excessive complaining. I would have thought a
word to the wise . . .

I recommend a book by Stuart Diamond called
"Getting More." It made a difference in my life. I wrote about it
more than a year ago at http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/bob_dancer/2011/0308.cfm

I'm not trying to beat you up or embarrass you, Misscraps.
This is a common enough situation and all of us can learn from it.

Possibly the most useful article you've ever published.

Well sorry obviously I didn't hear it. A simple sentence stating his reason or perhaps in your case, no reply would have been the more polite response!

Then let me politely tell you that this was discussed at about 50 minute mark on the June 14 show --- which may be listened to for free from bobdancer.com or wizardofodds.com Bob
