re Palms itchy scrathy promotion

I was at the Palms today and played about 3 hours on double bonus and deueces
and NSU. I ended up with about 20 or more scratch cards. What a dumb
promotion! Maybe these "gifts" are okay for low rollers who may hit 1 or 2 of them,
but if you are playing quarter or higher triple/five play you will hit a lot
of them. At $1 level they are a joke.

I got 6 "Palms Glass" - I don't know what it is - certainly not a glass to
drink from - very heavy - very ugly miniature Palm tree - maybe it is a glass,
maybe a candle holder, maybe ? (They were so heavy I only took 4 of them home
for now).

4 or more Car Wash tokens - really stupid to give to people who are Hall of
Famers who get 4 a month - plus we don't own a car!!!

3-4 T-shirts - of course - only L and XL -- hey people I'm a 2X!!! And so are
my friends who I give t-shirts too. And did we really need another Palms
T-shirt - they gave them away a couple of times this year.

6 - Palms Water Bottles (plastic) - why do I need this? I get my water in
bottles - besides - why do I need SIX???

1 - $3 - woopie

2 - 400 points (value $1 isn't it?)

1 - 80 points

I spoke to another guy playing triple play/five play $1/$2 - he said he had
gotten 130 scratch cards and one had $100 (no other cash).

If he had been playing at Main St. Station he would have gotten at leas $260
for scratch cards from all his quads.

This is the type of promtion that really sucks so much that after 1 day of
play I don't want to go back for the rest of the month to get any other
scratches. I don't really need more t-shirts, water bottles, or strange glasss
sculptures and I don't have enough friends (or enemies) on earth to give them too.

At $1 level all coin payouts over 120 give you a scratch; at quarter all over
240 or so. So anyone playing VP at $1 is going to get a bunch.

For $1 and $2 players this is really a sucky promo. (And maybe for quarter
players too).

Hey Mr. Maloof - I've got invitations to a lot of other casinos where I get
cashback plus comps, plus other exciting and more lucrative stuff like $300 in
free play (Bellagio) plus LRFB, $200 plus full RFB (Stardust), $100,000 slot
tourney (Mirage) - all those with rooms too. Not to mention tickets to shows
from Harrahs (Barry Manilow - saw him last night), Frankie Avalon (Orleans),
Mirage (Jay Leno, David Spade, and Wayne Brady), etc.

Guess where I'll be playing the rest of the month.....
