I'll volunteer for Charlie's Boulder monitor. The last time I was a monitor
was in the 6th grade. I and another guy were monitors for the 2nd thru 5th
grade kids when they had lunch. There was a window of opportunity at the end of
lunch when the ice cream freezer was still unlocked. We each got a bar and
ate them quickly in the bathroom. The other guy later went on to become a cop
with Torrance PD.
Upcoming events at ACE: Hot seat giveaway on Dec 31st 4p to 1a, $500 3x an
hour. Probably about 500 people at machines and the tables will be eligible.
The Treasure Hunt thing is back starting Jan 1st, swipe card. But, you gotta
play on the 31st of Dec to have something they can rate in order to give you
tickets on the 1st. Last years TH gave away food comps, cash, and some nice
long sleeve t shirts. If you do that promo hold your tickets until you see
something you want to exchange for because they have different stuff after a
while. Last year I got so much stuff I took most of it to Goodwill.
I asked the casino manager why they didn't expand all the way to the street
when recent remodeling took place. The guy in the expensive suit, which is
actually two suits pinned together because he's such a big guy, said, "Valet
parking is declining because most of our customers live next door in the RV
park. As things go along we will begin having wheelchair, scooter and walker
races in the Valet area. Hopefully Gaming will let us take wagers on the events."
