I've gotten several emails about Harrahs regarding lost points. One was
Laughlin, one Rincon, and of course my problems involved Vegas Harrah's. The
Nevada Casino control commission's finding was that my problem in Vegas was
that I played too fast, thus causing points to go to a "holding area" instead of
being posted to my account, and then they had to added in by hand when they
later check any results that are possibly faulty. This could be true, since
the problem was on single line machines only - no problems with multiline
machines or reel slots for me. Or not.......
The bottom line:
WARNING - If you are playing at ANY Harrah's property - write down your
total points (both base and total) before you start to play. Note down machine
number, time in, $ in, points in. Before removing your card, note down time,
$ out, points on machine. Put your card in and out 4 times (this seems to
ensure that points are properly totaled - assuming they don't get "lost"). If
your points do not show up on your account at this point - immediately
contact a slot supervisor.
People to contact in Las Vegas Harrah's:
Sherry Hankins - Slot Floor Supervisor - phone 702-369-5000
Bryan Thill Slot Floor Supervisor - 369-5059
State of Nevada Gaming Control Board person to contact (He has dealt with me
on this problem so should be familiar with it):
Ted A. Pribnow
Agent , State of Nevada Gaming Control Board
555 E. Washington Ave.
Suite 2600
Las Vegas, NV 89101
phone 702-486-2163
Presumably if enough of us can document this problem perhaps we can get
Harrah's to actually fix it.
If they say that points will show up on your account within 24-48 hours,
check your account online at that time to make sure points are actually put
there -- harrahs.com. If not, write/phone/contact Harrah's and Ted Pribnow.
I also suggest that anyone who encounters this problem, especially if points
are not adjusted, should write letters to the president of Harrah's, General
Manager, as well as the State Gaming Control Board in your area.
