Re Goodbye

Am I the only person who finds these remarks offensive and certainly
not necessary.

When I was a boy, I always preferred it when Christmas presents
didn't break in less than a week. Still feel the same, I suppose.

I must have missed something, because I do not see the relevance either. What is being
said here? Is it a back-handed offensive remark?

imo the remarks are as necessary as the majority of posts to the
group. am i the only person who thinks a whining goodbye post is
pathetic.

I intended the remarks to be humorous, and several people, including the
Administrator, have told me they found them so. But clearly the words
offended some people as well. I apologize to anyone offended.

Please remember that "offensive and certainly not necessary" are not
standards here, though, otherwise we'd never have such comments as "A
combination of urine-soaked hobo and stale bacon grease with just a
piquant of overflowing ashtray."

That is another comment I found humorous, but also clearly offensive and
certainly not necessary.

Dancer's comments remind of a smartass high school kid pushing the limits.
