I am very close to 800,000 hands without a royal myself. I have

Brad, you have the worst luck of any video poker player ever. If I were you
I would get another hobby. The chances of going 400,000 games with no
royals(figuring one out of 45,000 for the royal cycle) are .000137899 to 1.
When I tried to figure the odds for 800,000 games , Excel gave me one of the
long numbers in scientific notation. Anything can happen in video poker.
Good luck!

I was always trained to believe only half what I see and nothing I
hear or read. Maybe the 800k story provides the logic behind such
wisdom.

And maybe in this case there's simply no reason or advantage to
disbelieve.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the pervasive negative energy behind the
posts of late. Am I simply hypersensitive to this, for whatever
reason, or are there others tiring of the general tone things have taken.

Harry - I agree it seems that we are no longer seeing discussions but down
right Mudslinging. I seem to only need to read a few words before DELETE on
90% of the messages this week. Tom

I have seen far worse on many other online forums and am not
overwhelmed, but I do agree with the sentiment. I rely on this group
for geeky intellectual disagreements:-)

What excel function did you use?
Thanks, Gary
