re card pulling

Depending on the casino and the machine, card pulling may or may not work to
mask a win. If it does, one should use it cautiously, because some people
have reported being barred after using excessive card pulling. I sometimes
put my card in and out to make sure points are accruing properly (this can be
an excellent idea), so that is a good excuse as to why you pulled your card in
and out. But obviously one would only do this occaisonally, not every hand
or every 10 hands. At some casinos I've found pulling the card in and out
can actually result in higher win totals, for unknown reasons, so if you try
it, just try as an experiment at first, and then be very very cautious.

By the way, you will still receive all your W2Gs and should report all
income and losses to the IRS. Presumably the main reason for pulling your card
would be to increase your loss rate only for the casino's benefit if you felt
it might help you get more comps - for example at a casino which looked at
your overall loss rate as being more important than your theoretical average
rate.

  Wow........

You're joking, right? The RNG of the machine somehow interacts with the computer in the slot club to allow you to win more? Wonder if the Gaming Commission is up to speed on this?

Jigger,

You misunderstood what misscraps was meaning. I believe she was
meaning that the casino's logs will often show you having won more (or
lost less) when you pull your card in and out. Since some casinos
base future offers on their records of your play, this can have a
detrimental impact.

A couple years back in Tunica, the Paradice casino actually recored, on
your win/loss totals, the maximum possible winning result if you pulled
your card between the deal and the draw. This obviously results in a
much larger reported "win" than you actually received.

Ahh, yes.....now I see. Didn't make sense to me until you pointed it out. Thought that might be a little too good to be true! Thanks Ken.

I'll second that suggestion. Long ago I got into the habit of pulling
my card occasionally just to make sure the central computer is actually
capturing my points. I started doing this after getting burned once or
twice early in my VP career. There's nothing quite like the sinking
feeling you get when - after playing a marathon session - you go to get
something from the players club and the boothling frowns at the
computer and says "So, Mr. EE, have you played any today???".
