Rates at CB, NYE and January

I just a had a look at the CB website. The rates dropped from $99/$199/$199
to $39/$89/$119 in just a couple of days time for these three NYE weekend
nights. The January calendar also has been adjusted down to $18/$39.

Looks like CB/EW are doing a hotseat promo for January, which should keep the

This seems to happen every year, not only in Laughlin, but in Las
Veagas and Reno also. Book early, and you pay the highest rates. If you
wait till the last minute, they find they still got a lot of rooms
left, so they lower the price. The more rooms not booked, the lower the
rates go. No hotel/casino wants empty rooms on New Years Eve. The same
has been true for the River Run in some years.

Rooms going for $18/night in January? Boy that makes my offers of 3
free nights not seem like such a big deal.
