Went to Raampart today. the promotion was a "free" trinket box (400
pts. of play) with a slip inside usually for $5 but stated as going up
to $500. The execution was a fiasco! They made everyone fill out a tax
form, so the lines were very long and moved very slowly (40 min. in our
case). Had to then take the tax form and voucher to the main cage wich
took 10 min. once we were in front of the teller. Not worth it for $5.
Only promotion comparably bad was several years ago at Foxwoods when
they let you redeem up to $500 per day of their overvalued points for
gas cards at par. The lines the first day were 3+ hours. Aside from
annoying patrons a patron waiting in line is not gambling. By the
second day they learned and had multiple terminals in the main ballroom
and the process took only 15 min. Wonder if the Rampart/Cannery
management learns from mistakes?
