Rampart Casino mailers changed

After waiting until last night to ask why I hadn't received my monthly mailer, I was told by the slot club personal there has been changes this month. I have received mailers for about 2 1/2 years now. They wouldn't give me any information other than a different system is being used to determine who gets what type mailers.

I have been going to the Rampart for over 2 1/2 years and averaging 4-5 times a week. I play an average of 5 hrs per day. My mailer had been $40. - $50. a month in free play and some free buffets. I talked to several people there last night who's mailer had either been stopped or downgraded. Needless to say none were happy about it.

Before, when I would walked into the Rampart, I felt "at home". Most of the staff knows me by name. I eat there around 2 times a week. It WAS a comfortable feeling.

Last night when I was told I had been dropped from the mailers, along with many others, I suddenly felt like I wasn't welcome there anymore. I played for around 2 hours and left early. It just wasn't the same.

In today's economy, you would think they wouldn't want to alienate ANY customer. Is this the way to treat a very loyal player?

I was wondering when this thread would start!

Our mailers have also dropped like a rock. I used to get 4 X $50 bounceback a month. This time I got 8 X $10 -- a drop of $120/month. This is on about $80,000/month in action. Seems hardly worth going there anymore.

I talked to Rich Cisan (Director of Marketing) a few days ago. He was polite, but told me a lot of people had substantial increases in their mailers (no one I've talked to!), but told me he was getting lots of complaints. He said they were "re-evaluating" the mailings, and perhaps they would return to "normal" in the future. He also said that he was not personally responsible for this, but "higher-ups." If anyone wants to call him, his phone # is 507-5923.

It's really pitiful that they dropped Jimmie altogether from the monthly mailings. I know he's in there all the time!

How about other Rampart regulars?

Everyone I have talked to had their mailer cut by at least 1/3 from what they were expecting. This has got to be a big fat mistake. A lot of damage has already been done, but maybe they will try to rectify it soon. A letter of apology with free play would help.

Well, join the crowd. The same thing happened to me, so I spoke to Host Gina (not my host) about it. Obviously, it was not a decision made by the hosts and the result affected a LOT of players. So for me, the Rampart becomes a Friday only destination for 2X points. And that will be it. I have no need for any of that free gift trash they offer from China on other days.

Oh, I will attend the Free Slot Tournamnet but will not insert even a penny in a machine. Maybe Cannery Resorts LLC doesn't get it: this is the time to take market share, not lose it. Red Rock is coming after the Ramparts core clientele with their Senior Day, which may become Senior Days. Some folks might say why? Easy answer. Most seniors on the far west side of town have all the money.

Cannery Resorts does not want any out of towners either.
On my latest trip to LV I was partially on a scouting mission.
On one day I decided to go to the Cannery East and give them some serious play to see what would happen. I signed up for their slot card and started to play. After a few hours it was time for lunch. I had put through just over $8000 in that stretch of time. I went to look for a host. The only host was watching over a slot tournament so I had to go to her (3 players in this particular session) . I introduced myself and told her that I was looking for a lunch comp. She looked up my play and turned me down. She said that was their policy and that I should use my points to pay. I told her my policy was comped meals or I leave. No hard feelings I left. I sent them a note when I got home. I have not received a response, and I probably won't get one. That kind of play gets me treated very well at Sam's Town.

Kind of reminds me of the last time I played at South Point. I did 750K coin-in in one day, lost $14K, and was told that I needed to use my points if I wanted a meal.

Just a guess, you played 6000 hands of $25 Jack or Better on a triple point day with an advantage of 55 cents per hand? Wonder why they took em out!

Did you speak to a Casino Host about that comp request? I have found the hosts there to be quite accomodating.
