Rampart Casino future

I have heard an unconfirmed rumor from a high roller friend that the
J. W. Marriot will not be renewing the lease of the Rampart Casino
(managed by the Cannery group), but Marriot will be running the casino
itself when the lease expires. I thought Marriot did not get involved
in casinos directly because of relgious reasons. Does anyone have any
information regarding this rumor?

It's an ok locals casino. I've never seen a place whose booth is
constantly trained to say "no" (although now I just bypass the booth
when I need something done anyway). I think it's because of all the
people waiting to die who come in during the daytime from Sun City and
torture the staff.

That being said, the program is good and they have an excellent
selection of games (don't forget the 9-6 BDlx Multistrike, 99.86). You
have Red Rock to thank for that...because they were getting tight and
very nitty about things beforehand.

I don't see the management changing hands anytime soon, Millenium is
an excellent operator, but you never know.

I kind of prefer Red Rock to Rampart in terms of amenities, but
Rampart clearly has better VP+program.
