Ramblings from my latest trip to Vegas

"And I stick by my concern about the effect it will likely have on the other locals."

Harry:

I have serious doubts that even if every casino in LV eliminated all positive EV machines, there'll be any measurable drop-off in business anywhere. It might even increase profits because of more frequent and higher losses by players who just can't leave. There'll also be more attractive promotions. We're dealing with slick business people who's jobs are constantly on the line. Advantage players will have more ways to create positive plays. Casino managers are always at least one step ahead and they know what's going on. They know no player will simply stop playing if their favorite machine(s) were removed. Their own livelihood depends on pro-active behavior.

I hope you understand that we're singing the same tune here, Rob.
Reduce the positive EV vp around, combine that with the expectation
that players largely behave like sheep, and other casinos have less
incentive to maintain their decent vp.
