Actually, the drought in question refers to several years of skimpy snowfall in the Rockies, which, via the Colorado River, is where most of Lake Mead's water comes from. Locally, we've actually had more rain than usual the past year, but that's not much of a factor (2 x almost nothing = almost nothing).

What does all this rain do for the severe drought? We were out there 2 weeks ago and all reports were that the drought was the worst ever in recorded history. Of course, this amount of rain won't make up the decrease in water level at Lake Mead. But did it help at all?
