R.P. scratch cards

Oh I forgot to mention the scratch cards at the R.P. You can win a
million dollars on them and usually I don't bother since the odds are
so long. But after I checked out I went down to the slot club and got
my "free" jacket. Well since I was there I got four scratch cards and

···

on one of them I actually won $20. I T/W the boothling and she said
that it was not unusual for people to win $20 and quite a few $100
ones. Usually on these million dollar type things you have an obscure
chance and then nobody hardly wins anything else. So get your scratch
cards if you play there it is actually worth doing. In the week that I
was there I must have let like 6 or 7 scratch cards expire because I
didn't think it worth bothering about. FWIW the jacket is nice looking
and very comfortable though it zips up on the wrong side which is
highly annoying it will probably end up on the salvation army pile in
due course because of that.

How does the RP and the Riverside compare for rooms food and perks? Harrah's pays for our air and room from the Midwest and I hear Riverside does also? Is it worth getting a card and to play at riverside? We will be there in January...if the ice storms stop by then:)

The Riverside is by far the most crowded of all of the Laughlin
Casino's, their big deal is to get a steady stream of people there on
junkets seems like mostly by bus. They get far more than their share
of of chain smokers it is much more smokey in there than anywhere else
in Laughlin, like by a factor of 5. Getting around in its narrow
crowded isles can be a hassle IMNSHO the place is poorly laid out. I
like casino's like the Cannery in Las Vegas where they are well laid
out to the point that is is actually fun to walk around in them. Other
than those things it's ok.

In other words, not a good place for my asthma? Harrah's is smoky enough for me, especially if the cigar guy is there:) They do advertise plane trips from here though.

We put in two days of strong (by Laughlin standards) of play at the
Riverside, in order to get on the list for flights. We have gotten a
couple of 1/2 price offers from them in the last two years, but
realistically think we should have gotten more. YMMV

Harrah's gives more then. Free flight, free room, free food and shows. Flights from here are usually $300. Harrah's always treats us good. We get offered 6 trips or more a year to p-laces like Laughlin. St. Louis, Tunica Council Bluff, ect. Have to pay own air to Vegas though. Maybe could drive from Laulin though.

Riverside has been doing these flight/stay programs longer than
Harrah's. I have been on the RS flights going back at least 10 years
now. It just seems to me that their offers are weaker than the other
Laughlin hotels for an equal amount of play. At least that has been my
experience. The trouble with the RS is there is not too much to play
down there anymore, and as mentioned, the smoke can really be bad in
the older section. They also seem to attract an older crowd, so watch
out for wheelchairs, walkers, rolling oxygen tanks, and slow moving
people that seem to stop for no reason.

My last Riverside Flight was probably about 3 years ago. The gal in
charge of the flights was telling me how they will really discount the
packages with decent (?) play. I gave them what I thought was good
action.....that was the last flight they did from my area. Grrr. They
seem to concentrate their flights to the Midwest area now.

They have 2 or 3 of these flights ut of Moline, IL.

How much play is required for free trips ?

Thank you.
