quirky VP

Does anyone remember the VP machines (I played them at Lady Luck) where there
was a lighted board on top and as the cards came up, that card would be
eliminated from the board. When it was filled/emptied, you would get the bonus coin
count that had grown with each player's bet. Seems like there was a bonus of
35-50 coins every few minutes, depending on how many were playing at that bank.

The Horseshoe had something similar, like a bingo card to fill.

Hi, from what I learned here and elsewhere you always play max coins cause of the bonus for the RF.

I live in Canada, nowhere near a full pay machine it seems so if you want to play you play on what you got....which is not too good I have learned....but sometimes you gotta go anyway.

They have a Gamemaker Multigame Machine (Keno etc.) machine which is .25 and you can play 1 coin up to 100 coins ($25.00 obviously). However, there is no bonus payout for the RF on JOB (I think if I'm understanding this correctly).

If you play 1 coin you win 800 and if you play 100 coins you get 80,000. So if there is no bonus payout for the RF on max coins, I figure you play what you are comfortable with.... Or is the bonus everyone is talking about built into the 800 coin payout for the Royal and that is why you always play the max. If that is the case, then it seems always play $25.00 hand and go for 20G and not play at all unless you can do that for an evening???
Ouch....

I seem to remember in LV if you played max coins the payout for the RF was a higher amount that 800 x # of coins in....sort of like slots where 1=800, 2=1600, and 3=2500 (100 bonus), but maybe I am confusing it with the slots, my game of choice before I got "educated"...

Sorry if this is a basic newbie question already answered a million times somewhere but I could not find a blurb which answers my question.

Hopefully I will eventually be able to contribute something here to the group.

Speaking of that is there some sort of checklist or fill in the blanks form if someone goes to a casino, to facilitate a casino report. That would be helpful I think, and I could do one for where I live in Canada (Ottawa) which I noticed has no reports in the vpFree Canada Data base. If this does not exist, maybe some thought could be put into this. It would help "standardize" what we comment about.....

I'm going to LV next week and would be willing to try to fill in some blanks if someone tasks me to do something specific for the group.....I have loads of time, a car, and I would like to contribute something back so please let me know if anybody would like something done.

I leave Sat AM.
Thanks.

In the mid 90's there were several variations of Bingo Poker. Double Bonus,
Double Double Bonus etc. The upper screen had a 5x5 bingo card that was
filled by getting hands from 2-pair to 4-aces. You received a bonus of 250
for each row of 5 completed.

If you are getting 800 coins for 1 coin played (for RF) that is a
very good and unusual game! Here is LV 1 coin usually earns 250
coins, and max coins earns an "average" of 800 coins for each coin
played. Of course, I'm assuming the rest of the pay schedule is good
too.

The "standard form" idea seems like a good one to me. If it were on
the site we could print it out and complete it inside a casino, then
report the results to everyone, or the administrator. But this might
be too time consuming for the administrator ... don't know.

Short coin royals/Max coin royals-The ratio in Nevada usually is
250/800. Frankly, I can't recall diffently.

Vegas-usually game inventory is covered pretty good. The Hacienda
out by the Dam is supposed to revamp their system soon just in case
you drive by.

Slot club info. gets left out sometimes when someone finds something
good to play. Semi-permanent promo information is usfull too.

Go have fun, compare what you find to the VP database. Sometimes a
more permanent reference point might help from someone new looking
for the games.

Good suggestion.

At the bottom of each DataBase index page is a paragraph that lists
which video poker games are included and a clickable email address
for reporting updates/corrections. I have just added (in red) the input
that is desired, with an example of each.

Here's a link to the main index page which includes the new info:

Reports on comps, slot clubs, hotel rooms etc., etc., etc. which
can be added to the comments section of individual casinos are
also encouraged.

What I did was print a copy of the vpFREE data base paytables.
Reduced them down and taped them to pages in a shirt pocket spiral
bound notebook.

Then when I went into the casino I had the paytable right in front
of me to double check with. Then along side of the data base pay
table info I could record the machine denomination, etc.

This beats what I used to use, which was just a blank piece of paper
where I was writing down the machine paytable, and then later
figuring out what their payback was, and whether it was worth
posting.

I will do similar and leave some room to write casino name and machine pay.

The Sigma brand Bingo game is alive in Laughlin at the Pioneer and
the Golden Nugget. I think the base game is 9/6/4 DB. They are
linked. Of course the key is to play them when they are ripe and you
have them to yourself.

Thirteen of the squares are quads I believe, so you end up with quads
to fill at the end. Not shure what would be the best end game
situation.
