Yerrible's newsletter announces a "4th Anniversary" promo as follows:
All royals on machines of 5-cent denomination or lower pay 4-to-1.
This is only good from 3 PM to 9 PM on the anniversary day, December
6.
Now, at face value, I like this promo, because it doesn't actually
cost the casino that much, and it won't be attacked and burned out
by pros. The approximate gain to EV is a little more than 6%, so
even the smelliest nickel machine is now playable. You ain't gonna
get rich no matter what, but I think it would be fun to drop in and
play silly VP for a few hours, going for the royal NO MATTER WHAT,
just for the fun of getting paid $800 for a nickel royal.
This is, of course, assuming Teriible's doesn't renege on or cancel
this promo, as they have done with just about every single other
decent VP promo in the past. But maybe six hours is too short an
interval for them to change their minds...?
