Brian,

Right you are! I was focusing too much on the 43 held in the original
hand. The other 777 Quick Quads will convert another 64 3oak into
4oak kinds and that increases the return a bit more to 4.675. The
correct hold is still 7743 by far (which I know you knew).

This return makes yet another assumption. Which is that the
originally dealt 5th card wasn't an A,2,5 or 6.

Also, I should have indicated that it's a 6 coin play put the hand
payout is like it is a 5 coin play. The 6th coin bet buys the Quick
Quad but doesn't otherwise change the pay table.

I've read the recommended Bob Dancer articles on Quick Quads, and as
expected he indicates the expected return on Quick Quads (QQ) is
higher than on the same game without QQ, but still doesn't answer the
question: what is the added ER if playyed perfectly.

So the question I have is still what is the expected return on 9/6
JoB QQ if played perfectly?

Also has any one sketched out the strategy revisions for 9/6 JoB QQ
versus regular 9/6 JoB such as when/if ever to breakup a fullhouse or
two pair, or if any kickers should be held with any solo pairs.

Bob began an analysis of DDB QQ in one article but really didn't go
into 9/6 JoB QQ very much.

Since 9/6 JoB QQ is now available at Red Rock and Palace Station it
would be nice to see a discussion what the appropriate strategy
adjustments would be and what would be the expected return with and
without the changes to the strategy on 9/6 JoB QQ.

It would depend on the return for the 4K where you are playing.

In general, and only for Jacks or Bonus where the two pair pays 2, I
only go for the Quick Quad with three of a kind and then hold either
other card if lower than that, i.e. hold 3 sixes plus hold a five or
lower and draw one card. Your chances are best when discarding an
unmatched face card which doesn't help you make a Quick Quad.

But it is quite a long shot to break up two pair and then hope for the
3K PLUS two other cards that sum properly. I have played many trials
and then occasionally hit it but do not recommend it. It may work out
better in DB or other similar games where the two pair pays 1 and
your "sacrifice" is only half that in Jacks.
