questions

Just in response to a prior post that responds to questions about money
management...

Money management is not a myth. A proven technique for maximizing profits
and minimizing losses is the old gamblers' dictum: Don't Chase. That is
money management in it's most basic form. It is wise to know going in how
much you are willing to invest and to stop if and when you lose that
investment. Likewise it is wise to have a fall-back position where if you
lose back a certain percentage of your profits you quit, at least for a
while.

Some intelligent players will say things like "well, if it was a good play
then, it's a good play now." Of course that's true, but it begs the
question of what is preferable for a player with a limited bankroll, to
quit for a while still ahead, knowing that it will have no negative impact
on long term ER, or to keep playing now and risk further ruin. Like
everything else, it's a matter of choice.

BTW, going from one machine to another has nothing to do with money
management.
