Babe: excellent report as usual - so sorry you didn't end up bringing
home lots of $$ but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Thanks, Fred! All kind words are gratefully accepted. Cash, also! {{O:
As far as the $$ are concerned, I intend to get them next time! I hope
that they're ready for me.
Question re the Atlantis concierge lounge - do you have to show a room
key for access or sign in? I stayed in one of those rooms when they first opened up the concierge section and used the lounge in the a.m. but that was a few years ago and I can't recall. Do they allow you to bring in guests?
The Concierge Tower has its own elevator, which looks a bit like half
of a gas fired balloon. It is a fun ride up and down the outside of the building.
The concierge floors are 21 to 27. In order to access one of those
floors, you must insert your plastic room key in a designated slot in
the elevator. O/W, the elevator will only take you as far as the 20th
floor.
The lounge is on the 25th floor. You do not have to show a key, but on
the first day of your visit, the concierge will ask for your room number.
He/She writes it down in a log, and usually remembers you after that.
If there is a staff change, you will be asked again.
You are allowed to bring a guest or two, as long as you acompany them to the lounge. I imagine that they would frown on it and perhaps refuse entry, if you tried to bring more than one or guests.
The CL hours are 6:30 to 10:00 am, when a generous Continental breakfast
is served. The lounge re-opens 3:30 pm for beverages, fruit and pastries.
For some really dumb reason, the lounge charged for beverages other than coffee, tea, water and juices. They even charge $2.25 for a Coke. The
food is free
I've pointed out to the lounge manager that someone in the casino can
get free drinks, including alcoholic beverages, just by sitting at a
penny machine, playing one cent a hand. Conversely, guests in the CT,
are either paying an addition stipend forb the privilege, or are valued
players. However, he has not been able to make that sale to the suits.
I usually ask for a beverage in the casino before going to the lounge in
the afternoon.
BTW, beverage service at the Atlantis is excellent. You almost have to fend off the constant cocktail waitresses.
The lounge serves hors doevres and snacks at 5:30pm and remains open
until 8:00pm for coffee service.
The CL alone makes the Atlantis my favorite Reno casino. The fabulous
VP selection, is the whipped cream in my coffee,
