Question Re Casino Royale vs. Ellis Island

You're staying at Paris for one night. You want to play either 9/6 Jacks or 8/5 Bonus at 50 cent or dollar level( both of which HET doesn't have). You want to walk to a casino so you've narrowed it to Casino Royale or Ellis Island. Correct ?
Which would you recommend and why ? In case the choice is EI, is it safe to walk along E. Flamingo from Koval to the Strip after dark ?

  Thanks,
  Larry F.

Larry,

I'd take the shuttle to Rio and walk across the street to the Palms, which
is way nicer than either of those places.

Given those two choices, I'd choose TI.

Cogno,
Thanks for the reply. Yes the Palms is nicer, but please read my post # 109304 and you'll understand why I didn't want to go there.

ST,
Thanks for replying. I presume that TI is not a typo.
Some background: I spent a day this past August playing at TI because I wanted to generate offers. I gave them coin-in of about $20K+. I believe that I might have won a few hundred. After booking my upcoming LV vaca, I e mailed TI inquiring as to why I hadn't received any offers? A host ( K.Garcia) e mailed a reply only offering me casino rate. I was not happy with that.

Flamingo is a busy street, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's safe to walk at night, especially from the end of Bally's to EI.

The Strip is a much safer walk to CR. Even better, you could take the monorail from Bally's to Harrah's and walk from there to CR. If you take the Deuce bus, the nearest stop is in front of Venetian (don't bother with the Gold Line which stops further down at the Wynn).

CR used to be popular because of their great coupons every month, but since they recently downgraded them to slots coupons, they're not VP friendly anymore.

I hear that EI gives better bang for your VP buck, but I don't really play there. I used to play CR a lot until they downgraded the coupons, and I haven't played there since.

Have you thought about taking the monorail to the Hilton and playing there?

Whatever you decide, good luck!

Casino Royale because (1) less of a walk and all on the Strip, (2) has 3/5 play BP, and (3) has a 100X odd craps table when you get tired of VP. A few hours of VP almost guarantees a free room offer. Rooms are plain, clean, and in the heart of the Strip.
