Flamingo is a busy street, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's safe to walk at night, especially from the end of Bally's to EI.
The Strip is a much safer walk to CR. Even better, you could take the monorail from Bally's to Harrah's and walk from there to CR. If you take the Deuce bus, the nearest stop is in front of Venetian (don't bother with the Gold Line which stops further down at the Wynn).
CR used to be popular because of their great coupons every month, but since they recently downgraded them to slots coupons, they're not VP friendly anymore.
I hear that EI gives better bang for your VP buck, but I don't really play there. I used to play CR a lot until they downgraded the coupons, and I haven't played there since.
Have you thought about taking the monorail to the Hilton and playing there?
Whatever you decide, good luck!

You're staying at Paris for one night. You want to play either 9/6 Jacks or 8/5 Bonus at 50 cent or dollar level( both of which HET doesn't have). You want to walk to a casino so you've narrowed it to Casino Royale or Ellis Island. Correct ?
Which would you recommend and why ? In case the choice is EI, is it safe to walk along E. Flamingo from Koval to the Strip after dark ?
Thanks,
