Question Re Airfares

Hi,
  Searching airplane fares from NY to LV, I found some reasonable fares over the next two weeks flying on a Mon./Tues. and returning on a Fri./Sat.
However for the week of Sept. 21 the fares had a huge spike. Anyone know the reason ?

From what I can tell there are some big conventions going on, Mr Olympia
(30,000 Delegates), Interbike Expo (18,000 delegates), Neonatal Nurses (2000
delegates at The Venetian) plus a variety of other smaller conventions.

Not only are the airfares jacked up but so are the hotel rates. Hard to get
any comp rooms! I know I tried!

I don't know if I like the idea of getting on a plane full of Mr Olympia
contestants, seating could be a little uncomfortable. J

Could be a busy week there, good luck in your search.
