Question on the Stations/Fiesta info merge

First, a belated Thank You to ms. vpFae, who answered my question about the 3X points at
Fiesta mentioned in the "Players Edge" column.

Second, about a month ago, there were some posts made regarding a postcard sent to
Stations/Fiesta players. The postcard urged players to come in and merge their info (no
mention of a players club merge, though) for all Stations, Fiestas, and other Stations-owned
casinos. A few posts noted that, when they went to do so, no one at the players clubs were
prepared to do this, but I never heard word from anyone who successfully merged their info
or even found out what the point of the info merge was. I never did it myself for various
reasons, and was wondering what the purpose/result of that request to merge info was all
about.

When I was at Palace Station a few days ago, I gave all my cards to the gal at the players club. I asked if we were getting one card for both casino groups. She said no, that they were just checking that they had current addresses on all our cards - duh!!!!

The purpose of bringing in all the cards owned by stations was to make
sure that the info on each account was identical; address, phone
numbers, ss#, spelling of names. This needed to be done so that the
computers will be able to merge the accounts when they are combined.

The merge will most likely take place AFTER Station Casinos goes
private.
