Question: How long does one continue to feed a machine?

Question: How long does one continue to feed a machine?

I realize that the straight probalility people look at the payout
scedules only and don't care how much they feed into a machine.

I for one, however, will only put so much in a machine before looking
for one with a little better action.

My theory is in the short run, machines can have positive performance.

Just curious if other players are like me, or if some will feed a
machine all day without winning very much?

Guys like Bob Dancer would most likely stay on a machine with a good
payout schedule for quite some time before leaving the machine, I
would think.

Any comments?

Thanks,

The Muff

The answer is always the same...

"When it stops being fun, stop and go/do something else."

Those of us who play VP, must believe in the laws of mathematical probability
and statistics. But, fun is fun and you should do something else when it is no
longer fun. No matter what the reason is.

I am definetly in the 'the particular machine doesnt matter' group,
but if I am doing poorly, and unfortunately I have quite a bit of
experiance with that, this year. I will get up walk around and as
long as there are plenty of that type of machine/game available, I
will most likely change to another machine, but if the machines/games
are in short supply, I will reserve the one I was on and go back to
it, so it is more a matter of supply/demand than anything else.

When I get totally fed up with a machine "pulling a Hoover" on me I move. There may be no upside to changing machines , but there is no downside either.
A break after a long losing spell is a good idea anyhow. I usually get fed up if I put in the value of a quad and get nowhere.
