Question from a new person

We are platinum slot players at Resorts in A/C. We usualy just play
slots however recently decided to try VP. I sent away for Bob Dancers
VP WinPoker and have been Practicing, practicing practicing I also sent
for strategy cards. My question is on my next trip should I
exclusively look for 9/6 JOB or is it ok to play 8/5 also have been
practicing deuces wild ,and like it. Should I limit myself to these
two games in A/C. Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not a long, long time VP player either and I'm not a player in AC. Therefore, I wouldn't know the best VP games available there. I'll try to help with some general info though and maybe someone with AC experience will respond and offer you some more info.

You can go to vpFREE Home page and there are links to a casino database in AC which will show you the best games (with the best paytables) available to you in AC. There are also links to VP paytables for different VP games that show you the return percentages on different games and different paytables.

For the most serious players, 8/5 JOB would not be considered playable b/c it's not a full pay/ positive game. 9/6 has a much better return.

As for DW, in my own experience, I do not think you will find FPDW offered (Full pay DW) in hardly any casino except in Las Vegas. DW is one of my favorite games but it's not offered with decent paytables in my area but it may be in AC. Again, check the casino database for AC.

In summary, I'd suggest finding out what are the best VP games offered in AC and stick with those games, practicing the strategies for those games before you spend alot of time learning games that may not even be offered in your area. The database for AC will list full pay/ positive games and in which casino they are located.

Good luck and have a safe 4th.

Look for the best pay table you can get. In Vegas there is plenty of
9/6. I dont know what goes on in AC. I dont think they have 9/6 there
but I am sure somebody will post. 8/5 will definitely be an expensive
game for you to play if you go many hours. Go to Vegas and you have a
ton of machines at full pay!

Good luck

[9-6 Jacks in AC?]

If you're going to master 9-6 Jacks, my rec would be to take your
business over to the Plaza, especially if you're going to run $15K a
day or more through the machines. If you play cheaper, Caesars has a
9-6 Jacks progressive for quarters with a fast meter.

All the Harrah's properties offer 9-6 Jacks as well, with decent cash
back as well as the occasional RC multiplier day. It comes down to a
question at to what you're looking for in a slot program.

Resorts slot operations have been known in the past to have a
contentious relationship with hight limit VP players. While your slot
play will probably help you there, they really don't offer as much as
the other properties mentioned here do. If oyu're going to play a
Resorts property in AC, I'd much prefer the Hilton to Resorts.

Well thanks to all of you I had a great time and did not get hurt too bad. Everything you guys said turned out to be true. I found and played every 9/6 machine mentioned. I felt pretty secure playing JoB 9/6 as I had been practicing on WinPoker. Also the first thing that came to mind was I had to slow down I remembered what I read in Frugal to Deal- Hold-PAUSE-draw and that helped. My strategy cards and print outs were useless to me ,i need to learn how to use them. My wife laughed at me in our room when I had the table covered with papers. But it was a lot of fun
