Question for you math people

Last trip I made to Silver Legacy I played .25 FPDW and earned an average of $1.00 an hour in comps. I timed myself on my home program and I play about 500 hands per hour. Is it a valid computation to divide $1.00 by 500 hands to get the comp rate. I couldn't get the point rate from SL.

You are corerect. You put through $625/hour (500 X $1.25) and that earned you $1 in comps so $1/$625 equals .16%.

That is very interesting info. I have been getting .05% playing 9/6 DDB. Do you get room offers, too?

I think the rate might be a little high because I used averages, but it should be in the ballpark. They email me second night free offers.

George, I think I might have found the difference. I checked today to see if I could find out the double or triple point days for SL. It's not on the website, just on a paper copy at the SL club area. I must have been there at a double or triple point day and didn't know it. Unless someone takes the time to mention it on the forums no one would know when to go there. I just got lucky for the comps. But THANKS for confirming that what I remembered 30 years ago in high school was right.

Yes, Beverly, I think you are right. It was probably a 3X points day. That ties in with what I heard, which is they give very few points for VP play. It doesn't matter what VP; they lump them all together. If you play VP, you will get the same lousy comp rate.
