My question here goes out to anyone that eanred DIAMOND IN A DAY at a
Harrah*s property in 2005.

Of course when you reached the number of points needed you were
upgraded right away to diamond. My question is now that we're past the
renewal period in 2006 I'm wondering if any of you that eanred diamond
in this way were renewed as diamond players even if you DID NOT earn
10,000 base points during the rest of 2005.

I know if you earned 10,000 you of course would be. My question is
specifically for those that earned diamond in a day in 2005 and did
not earn 10,000 points for the year.

Were you renewed to diamond for 2006 or were you downgraded?

stungazed,

Here is my experience and thoughts about this situation:

I am in the situation you describe, DinaD (Laughlin, Jan/2005) and less than
10,000 Tier points for 2005. In fact I coasted the rest of the year ending up
with 3550. I did a whole 20 Tier points while at the Rio/Winterfest slot
tourney offer. The rest in Laughlin, just dabbling.

I have heard that qualifying anyway possible in 2005 should keep Diamond
status through March 31, 2007.

April 1st rolled around. My online status still is Diamond. Up popped six
new lines on my offers page for Vegas, nothing new for Laughlin. Each Vegas
casino is good for 2-4 nights thru 8/31.

What is most telling is on the offer is the prefix "Renewal" for all six.
Not sure if I can book more than one.

It is true I didn't get a special invite, like others, to pick up new cards.
It is true I don't have new cards in hand either. But my online status is
still Diamond and anticipate picking up new cards in a couple of weeks.

One thing to keep in mind is DinaD is casino specific. Southern Nevada is
1800 Tier points, but it does vary across the country. Joliet is 4000 and
others are 1500 or 2000. So picking up new cards would probably be easiest in the
casino you did DinaD.

So everone go check their online status to check if it is correct.

Thanks for the responses. If anyoine else has anything to add please
post.

My reason for asking this question is because I earned DIAD in 2005
and did NOT earn 10,000 points during the year. When my card was
just renewed I was downgraded to gold. I've been arguing back and
forth with a customer service rep from Harrah's via e-mail who seems
totally lost and clueless and continually pointing out that I didn't
earn 10,000 points in 2005. I also spoke to a rep on the phone that
was also just as clueless.

The way it's written on the website is if you earn Diamond during
the year, you get it for the rest of the year and all of the
following year. The posts here and on other boards confirm that and
I'll now just contact their corporate offices.

Thanks again for the replies.

You might want to know that I recently renewed Diamond w/ DIAD and it
is good through 3/2008.

Did you renew 3/31 or before, or after 4/1 (I'm beginning to think
there may be a difference in the expiration date).
