Question about Video Poker for Winners

When playing MultiStrike, DDB, when I am dealt three aces and a high
card, it wants me to hold the high card instead of discarding it. Is
this correct?

I also notice than on the lowest level I get dealt one ace more
frequently than I think I should...... (Probably my imagination on this
one)

Thanks,

Ken

I dealt AAAKQ in 9/6 DDB Multi Strike on all four levels, and auto-hold
gave the correct play of AAA on all four levels. What specific pay
schedule and what specific five cards is giving you the problem? When
you have a paying hand that will automatically move you to the next
level, Multi Strike plays EXACTLY the same as regular video poker.

Go to TRAINING MODES --> LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY --> MIXED and you'll get a
realistic hands.

I'll recheck when I can - but I'm pretty sure it was at the second
and third level, beginner level, with the test function activated.
It always wanted me to hold a queen along with the aces. It was at
the default (I assume full pay) schedule.

I just thought it was very unusual, or maybe that it's a valid hold
that I'm not aware of....

And by the way, I think the software is GREAT!!! Has pointed out
many mistakes that I have been making and is helping me correct
them!!!

Plus, it's fun to play and resembles the actual games very well!

Ken asked about holding an unsuited high card with an ace in DDB Multi
Strike.

This is standard strategy. In regular video poker, when you
finish a hand, the game is over and done with. In Multi Strike, when you
finish a hand --- if it gives you your money back at least, you get to
play another hand for free at double the stakes! For this reason, there
are a lot of plays that are different between regular video poker and
Multi Strike.

VPW includes strategies for all Multi Strike games. This is the
only software that does this. Print them out and learn then. You will
see big differences between each of the levels. It is only when you are
at the top level or on a FREE RIDE that MS strategy is the same as
regular video poker.

Actually, in many situations on the bottom line in MS DDB, you would
hold the A over a generic (5-K) pair. I don't remember all of them,
but it takes a seriously crippled A to hold the pair-something like
the suited 10 or 2-5 with another flush penalty.

I assume this is a typo and you really meant a low pair (5-T). A
high pair (J-K) is much higher than a single ace in all lines of MS DDB.
