The most unsafest part would be the traffic. Wild high-speed Vegas drivers drinking & talking on the phone, lots of turn-ins & outs; don't expect them to see you walking or even stop if they do see you! Walk defensively, even through the parking lots. There are exceptions of course, not all of us drive that way, but they're definitely out there.
