I've earned about $400 in Free Play at an MGM casino. Next week, I
will play that off but not invest any additional money because I
have
other business (poker) to attend to.
I know that MGM isn't as hung up on ADT/ADW as Harrah's, but I'd
still
prefer that my minimalist play remain off the record if that's
possible.
What if I insert my card and a $5 bill, enter my PIN, download the
FreePlay, and remove my card before actually playing a hand? Will
the
FP credits still accrue as I play each hand? Will the tracking
system
see me as a zero, or just as someone who inserted their card to
check
their point total?
I'll appreciate for-certain answers, and also informed specualation.
Thanks,
The GMan
You should play off the entire $400 and then quit.
I had a similar offer for $250 and immediately left after the
FreePlay was used up. It did not affect future offers for me one bit.
I am only guessing that MGM-Mirage uses the average of five trips for
rating as they have done in the past. So even if your play were
virtually nil, your average is still 80% of what it was before.
If you net $300 from your $400 in play you will see the $300 as a net
win on your win/loss statement assuming no other visits to that
casino this year.
I only change strategy if exchanging Holiday Gift Shoppe points for
FreePlay. In that circumstance I redeem the points at the casino I am
least likely to revisit so as to have no impact on my rating at
better properties at all.
