Since there is no seeming limit to the number of posts to this board
why are you concerned about people who make frequent posts to board
or for that matter topics that have "legs" and draw a large response,
I would think these would both be postive occurrences for vpfree.

My sense of the whole "ROJ" affair was that "ROJ" was more wronged
than wrong. I read several borderline nasty, snide comments, directed
at ""ROJ" but don't recall any coming from "ROJ", perhaps his
critique of Skip Hughs site might qualify, but even in that case
these were not ad hominem, which should be the test. The subset of
people who post versus those who never post is so small, to determine
the boards attitude toward "ROJ" based these posts would be roughly
the same as playing 20 min. of vp and determining that the machine is
gaffed.

Since the success of this board relies on the altruistic nature of
posters, those who supply useful information. Why do you have it as
official vpfree policy that members are not required to post all
useful infomation that is discovered and not currently part of the
database. I realize that it would be totally unenforceable to demand
such posting, but, I think that would set the proper tone for the
board. Posting of any useful information can only hurt you i.e. a
game you like will more likely be taken by another member of this
board when you want to play it, if that information is publically
posted...why post then, well, as many people have stated if you gain
from information from this board why not give something back to the
board. The increasing number of post requesting off-line sharing or
information is ruining the esprit de corps of this board.

This question indicates that you weren't a member of, and aren't
familiar with, vp_heaven where a very large percentage of all
messages were by one member for an extended period of time.

There hasn't been an instance of too frequent posting by a member
yet, but I mentioned it to ROJ because he had monopolized some
discussions recently and I felt that any sustained increase in posting
activity by him would be disruptive.

vpFREE is primarily about video poker, but off-topic threads are
allowed. If they become prolonged they're moved to FREEvpFREE.

Negative personal comments are not tolerated on vpFREE ... period.

The board's attitude isn't based on a small subset of posters.

vpFREE has never banned any legitimate member, and welcomes
anyone who posts about video poker and observes the rules, which
includes the no negative personal comments policy. ROJ has decided
again that he's not willing to participate with these restrictions.

You've just answered your own question.

In addition, I'm a strong belever that everyone should act in their own
best interests (subject to ethical considerations), and shouldn't post
anything against their best interests. But I believe that the sharing of
video poker information in most instances is in the best interest of our
members. I'm on record that I'll terminate vpFREE if I ever become
convinced that vpFREE is harmful to "promoting and preserving good
video poker situations that can survive and prosper in an open market
environment" or that most members aren't willing to sharing video poker
information.

Posting of any useful information can only hurt you i.e. a game you
like will more likely be taken by another member of this board when
you want to play it, if that information is publically posted...

Don't post anything that you feel is detrimental to your best
interests, however the posting of useful information can also help.
Good plays have died because of inactivity, or too much play by too
few.

There haven't been many requests for offline sharing of information
on vpFREE, and I doubt that they have had any/much affect on morale.

And, I don't have a problem with such requests, as long as they aren't
repeated too often and don't become disruptive.

Last week we ate at the Fiesta Rancho Blue Agave Steakhouse. We had never been there before. (We have to do something with our points!) Our meal (we both ordered the 10 ounce prime rib) was acceptable but completely mediocre. Service was the same. I'm just wondering if this is common, or if we just went on a bad night. We spent $77 (in points). Otherwise, I don't feel like going back there. What do all you folks do with your Fiesta points? I think I'd rather swap them for Stations points and use them across the street at Texas Station's San Lorenzo or Austin's restaurants.
P.S. Blue Agave is non-smoking. At least I can smoke at Texas Station.

The Fiesta Steakhouse wasn't bad when Maloof owned it. Like
everything else it went in the toilet when Stations acquired it.

You might try the new Cafe that is located right
next to the buffet. I dined there 3 times and the food
is much improved from what it was in the old
location.

1050-1400 Fiesta points equals $1 in Rebel Gasoline. The difference
is whether you are Macho, Presidente, etc.
28000 buys you a carton of cigarettes
1400 buys you $1 in airline tickets.

Thanks, Elliott, but no thanks to Fiesta! At 600 pts. = $1 comps, that's $46+ per carton! I've been getting mine online from a tribal company that only charges $12, including shipping.

Please post the address for the $12

It's www.smokesignals.com. The last time I ordered, Seneca's were $10.99 (sometimes they are $9.99)/carton plus $1.75/carton shipping. Name brands are more expensive, of course. They are much cheaper (about 50%) than even the Paiute shops here in LV. They ship very quickly from New York.

That's one way to look at it. If they gave cashback then I'd agree
with your assessment. Another way is to devalue your points to zero
and then the cigarettes are FREE. It all depends on whether or not
you can actually use all the points you earn. Take gas for instance,
if you look at it on a cost of points basis you'd come to the same
conclusion as the cigarettes, on the other hand I haven't paid one
penny out of pocket for gas since I started using points.
