Query on Venetian/Palazzo

Any new updates on the ever changing paytables at the V/P. We will be
there later this week. Any input would be appreciated.

I played at both casinos , I played Jacks or better ,I only found 8/5
at best . best of luck .

I'm wondering too. I have a bit of a dilemma, and I wonder what others
are doing. We've been getting a couple mailings a week from LVS with
free room offers and slot tournament invitations, and even though we
live in the midwest we're going to be able to take them up on a couple
offers in the remainder of this year, including one next week.

Now, given that they've reduced the best available paytables by at
least 1-1.5% if I actually play video poker at my usual level I will
be handing them an extra $30-45 an hour, or $200 or so more a day. The
likely expected return from tournament prizes doesn't come close to
making up for that, and a room at the Venetian hasn't gotten more
valuable in the last few months. Quite the opposite in fact, since
strip room rates are off 15% or more this year and the Venetian's may
be down more than that.

So, I'm inclined to take the current offer and blow them off in the
casino (or at least head to the poker room and give my money away to
fellow tourists and the dealers instead of the house). On the other
hand, I'd rather not burn bridges just in case they come to their
senses. So, what would you experts at earning comps do?

Assuming that there aren't any play requirements,
I'd probably take the offer, not play, and let them
know that I didn't play because their games aren't
competitive with Wynn which is next door.

The best game I've seen lately there is $1 8/5 Triple Bonus Poker Plus
at 98.73%, which isn't in the data base.
