I have been practicing BP with WinPoker for a couple of hours per day
and since this thread started, I have been keeping track of dealt
trips. I have been dealt 45 trips, and NONE have resulted in quads.
I have had a few quads, but every one of them came when I was dealt a
pair.
A quick calc says that to go 0 for 6000 on quads in bonus poker occurs less than 1 in a million times. The conclusion you draw from that piece of info is the tricky part. One in a million event do occur. Now to tell if a 1 in a million event is part of the distribution of a fair BP game, you would need lots of data points. It very well may be you were just unlucky. However, if the machine is really quad deficient, you should be able to see similar events occur. If your next 1000 sessions of 6000 hands are all within the range of BP quad expected results, the one data point well outside the range doesn't tell you a lot.
