bob dancer's articles and book give the return of 9/5 triple double
bonus quick quads as 98.21%, and 9/6 triple double bonus quick quads
as 98.31%. the book notes that "it's very surprising that it doesn't
matter much whether you play the version that returns 6-for-1 for the
flush or 5-for-1."
it's not just "surprising", it's impossible. playing 9/6 instead of
9/5 means you get an extra five coins every time you hit a flush. 0.1%
extra ER means you get six extra coins every thousand hands. for these
two amounts to be equal, you'd have to hit a flush only once per 833
hands.
this is... implausible. you're *dealt* a flush a little less than once
every 500 hands. in non-QQ TDB, you hit a flush once every 79 hands.
so. has anyone independently analyzed this game to determine what the
*actual* ER is? the only QQ figures i've seen other than dancer's are
from mike shackleford on wizardofodds.com, and for some reason he's
done the other five games (BP, JoB, DB, DDB, TB+) but not TDB.
