Publishing/discussing vpFREE2 updates

There's a big difference between how vpFREE2 updates happen and how the old vpFREE system worked. Basically, vpFREE changes were public and "pushed" to its members, while vpFree2 changes are private and its members are not made aware of such changes, to the best of my knowledge. There's no option in vpfree2 to "receive updates" or anything to that effect that I'm aware of.

For the old vpFREE database, someone would post a possible update on the mailing list, which would generate discussion on whether the update was correct or not. Once it was verified, the admin would update the database and publish this update both to the list and the blog. So changes were both discussed in the group and later "pushed" to the group as well as the blog, so you could keep your finger on changes this way without having to go review every database entry.

With vpFree2, feedback is privately submitted to either the admin or casino monitor, who may or may not make the change. There's no way that I'm aware of for the rest of the vpFree2 members to see what's going on other than to manually check every casino. The information isn't "pushed" out to the member community, and there's no discussion either before or after the change, which stifles communication.

I would like to see vpFree2 changes made open and public in some fashion, whether it's a blog or "pushed" to its members via a mailing list or vpFREE. Some possible options are for vpFree2 to have its own mailing list for updates and discussion that its members could subscribe to, or for such discussion and updates to simply happen on vpFREE, or to have a user option to see all feedback as well as responses to that feedback, where casinos monitors could say whether a change was made or not (called "tickets" on vpfree2).

I prefer it as it is. At least this way if an extraordinary good update is
made, there is a chance it will stick for awhile.

Regarding the demise of the database blog, it says this on
vpFREE2.com:

"And coming soon...Automatic notification of updates!"

If you are reporting updates to vpFREE2 and they are not getting
done, here's what has worked for me every time:

Identify what needs to be changed in vpFREE2.

Click on that casino's "Feedback" tab and submit the changes that
need to be made. Be specific.

If the updates are not done in a reasonable length of time,
submit them again by clicking on "Contact" and say that the
updates from the first submission have not been made. This will
send them directly to the vpFREE2 admin.

I am copying the vpFREE2 admin. on this in case he wants to post
an answer.

the other problem is that i have sent changes to the vpfree2 database that have never showed up in the database...believe the overall accuracy of the info has suffered...

Recently I sent notice of the $1,$2 9/6 JOB full point machine in high limit at GVR to them and it has not appeared in the database. Are they saving the good ones for themselves?

I don't think there's any conspiracy to it but the database is too often badly out of date. It's best to post any new information directly here. That way we all see it and it will come up in archive searches.

Being notified of changes to vpfree2 was the main point of my original email. Where did you see this notice? I couldn't find it.

I would like to see these updates get posted to vpFREE to stimulate discussion, either in addition to or instead of everyone being notified privately. Perhaps a certain play might become more widely known that way, but vpFree2 is already public information. Private or secret plays won't even get reported to vpfree2, any different than they were reported to vpFREE in the past. It's the well-known plays I'm talking about. That's one of the strengths of vpFREE, and used to be a requirement of membership if it isn't still.
