Promotion causes inventory devestation again

This time it was the ill conceived Nevada Palace 8x cashback on
Saturdays and Sundays. The fatalaties are just about all good video
poker. The vpFREE database is unaccessable at this time so I can't go
through it line by line but in my brief survey it appears that all 9/6
JoB and 16/10 NSUD have been downgraded. I may have missed some lower
denomination machines somewhere as the main focus of my attention was
dollars. How sad that again a stupid promotion decision again kills an
entire casino's video poker inventory.

I have been critical of Mohegan Sun in Connecticut for some of their
policies but I received an email from them today offering a clinic giving
flu shots ($30.00) and pneumonia shots ($46) which can be paid for using
their comp points.

I can not think of a better use of casino comp points for those of need of
such a service. Does anyone know of another situation where you could use
casino comps for health reasons? (Ok, ok, getting a comp brandy while you
have a cold doesn't count.)

I've heard that many downtown casinos plan to redeem points
for iron lungs for customers with emphysema

Sorry, but Marlboro miles are paying for my new iron lung.
