Promotion at the Fiesta's...

About a month ago, didn't Bobby D say that there was going to be a
good promotion at the Fiesta Henderson (possibly Rancho too)? I think
he said that he played either 75K or 750K thru in points? Since I
have cut back my play there to virtually nothing, did I miss
something? I'm glad that I used up just about all of my Fiesta points
since gas will no longer be an option.

There's a chance I'm the one referred to. To my knowledge, I've never
been called "Bobby D" before --- although I've certainly been called
much worse on this very site so I probably shouldn't complain.

I indicated that Shirley and I played $750K through the machines during
a recent promotion, and I provided an estimation of what that promotion
was worth. I never referred to any upcoming promotion as I've never been
in the loop on promotions there.

Fiesta Casino management has decided that they wish to have
their marketing go in a different direction and will no longer offer Bob
Dancer classes. The glass on the "Bob Dancer" machines is being changed
to something else, as a prerequisite for the machines being there was
that I was teaching classes. Whether they keep same pay schedules on the
about-to-be-renamed machines is something about which I have no
information.

I've taught regularly there for more than two years under
Station Casino management, and between 1997 and 2001 under George Maloof
management. Between the two Fiesta runs, I taught at Continental (which
was imploded to build Terribles), both Arizona Charlie's, Rampart
(although it had a name of something like "Regent Las Vegas" at the
time), and the now-evaporated Castaways. I taught three or four series
of classes at the Reserve (now Fiesta Henderson) in 1999 and 2000. It
wouldn't be a huge surprise if I ended up teaching again at the Fiesta
some day, but at the present time there are no such plans.

I enjoy teaching and hope to begin again elsewhere soon. I am
currently negotiating with other Las Vegas casinos (along with casinos
outside of Las Vegas) about having classes. If and when such an
arrangement is made, I'll post the information here and elsewhere.

Didn't Bob also teach at the Palms for awhile?

Yes I did, for two semesters. Thanx for remembering.

Totally off-topic question for you Bob. Does the Fiesta Henderson
still have that crazy three dice game; I think it was called Ricochet?

The last time I was there (August), they still had it.
