PrimeTime on TV last night

I talked to these reporters and producers for about 2 hours on the
phone when they were working on this show. It's always a miracle when
TV people, who rarely are gamblers themselves or know anything about the
subject, get anything
right. I was happy that they did get the idea of going down in
denomination and sitting at full tables, things I stressed when talking
to them about stretching your entertainment time in a casino. They
zeroed in on buffets because it fit their cartoon format - but I was
glad to see that realistic subject rather than showing too many
unrealistic luxurious comps which the ordinary player will not get with
average small play.

Of course, I always prefer to be on in person - but having a cartoon
character reading The Frugal Gambler and the voice-over about how
"wonderful" the book was - those few seconds were enough to push the
book up from in the 30,000's to the 3,000's on the amazon.com seller
list. So I'm not complaining.

For those who asked: My second book IS at the printers and will be back
by mid-October, hopefully earlier. You can check at my website once in
awhile after October 1. I will put the date there when we will be able
to start shipping out mail orders made through that site. The pre-pub
discount will be valid at least until the 1st of October.
