Will be in Vegas this week-end. CAn someone recomend a good prime
rib dinner location that won't cost an arm and leg? I'm staying at
MGM, and playing at the Palms.
Thanks!
Prime rib
Prime Rib Loft at Orleans is great. Food and service is very good and prices are reasonable.

I'll second Prime Rib Loft at Orleans. Certainly not the best, but a good product and an excellent value, which seems to be what you're after.

Maybe it's just me, but I still love the Cortez room at the Gold Coast.

The cheapest is probably going to be at the Stardust. Go to the
Stardust bell desk and grab the free "Tourguide of Las Vegas"
magazine, and find the page for The Island Paradise Cafe (page
23).. there is a $2 off prime rib coupon, which makes the prime rib
$8. That may just be a lunch deal. It's probably not aged or
anything, but I've never been disappointed with prime rib anywhere and
was satisfied w/ it when I had it last weekend.
May I recommend Go Raw Cafe instead?

And besides this list most indian, chinese, japanese restaurants have
plenty of veg*an options. PF Chang's has great tofu dishes (my fave

places to sit and eat. www.happycow.net has great info on veg*an
restaurants wherever you travel.
Consider trying a few veg meals your next trip. Think of it as

I'll contribute Las Vegan alternatives to every request for meat info
that gets posted. I dislike getting meatfo in my mailbox, but why
become indignant when I can be productive?

Great idea. Why don't we all contribute alternatives to every request posted
no matter what it is? And then of course we can list associated websites,
That way we could see what agendas other people have that have been
considerate enough not to use this forum to promote them.

More mainstream Vegas veg*an possibles:
Olive Garden (pasta pomodoro or minestrone/salad)
Burger King (questionable, but BK Veggies can work in a pinch)
Taco Bell (bean burritos w/ lettuce and tomato instead of cheese)
Sushi King (veggie rolls, edamame, soba, etc.)
I've taken 6+ Vegas trips/year for the last 3 years. I only play at
an advantage (there for the money, not the myth). I try not to
interrupt my training and diet too much while in Vegas. Getting
enough healthy food and exercise are often the limiting factors to
playing more hours. I've found some solutions that could work for
the 10-20% of the pop who are moderate to complete veg*ans.
My posts always relate to Las Vegas intrinsically. As a bonus, some
of my personality gets expressed ;). In the future, I will make my
XVP posts standalone so they can't be construed as unrequested
alternatives. Instead they'll be known immediately for what they
truly are: plain ol' XVP spam.

If you are in fact admitting that your post consist of nothing more
than spam, ie "they'll be known immediately for what they truly are:
plain ol' XVP spam.", then I ask that the administrator remove your
post and apply it to freeVPfree (if deemed worthy for that site).
Neither rightwing nor leftwing political rhetoric should be
tolerated on this site. Otherwise we open the site direction to
paths that will be immensely self destructive. Again, if you are
offended by "meat" email in your box then simply opt out of the
email delivery system and peruse the discussion board at your
leisure. This will enable you avoid the "offensive" posts
about "meat", especially when the subject heading contains the
offensive words "prime rib".
The good news to all this is that my fat ass just burned 9 calories
typing this pointless response.
